What forms of payment do you accept?

Currently we only accept cash and cheque payment. We do not have the facility to accept card payments and apologise for any inconvenience.

I'd like to look around your facilities, can I come and visit?

All prospective customers are invited to come and have a look around our compound before booking. We would be happy to have a member of staff give you a short tour and answer any questions you have. However, we would appreciate it if you gave us a call on 0161 980 3825 and booked in your visit as all our staff are very busy with cleaning, feeding and entertaining our furry guests!

Do I need to bring food?

No, at The Dog Tub, we provide all the food your animal needs. We feed all of our guests on a healthy, rounded diet from the Oscars range. However, if your animal is on a strict diet you are more than welcome to bring their food along with instructions and we will give it to them instead of our diet.

Do I need to bring anything for my pet?

You do not need to bring anything as we do provide everything that your pet needs for their stay with us. However, you are more than welcome to bring anything a long that you feel might help your pet feel more at home. Often people bring toys, beloved bedding or one of their own t-shirts!

We do ask that you do not bring metal dog bowls for your dog as we will likely get them confused with our own range during washing up and feeding time.

Will you board other animals besides dogs and cats?

We do not have specific facilities to house other animals however we will endeavor to do our best to meet your needs. Please feel free to give us a call to discuss your requirements.

Do you need to book in advance?

Yes, we would always recommend booking in advance. Public holidays and school holidays are very busy times and we are often fully booked.

Do my pets need to be vaccinated before being admitted to your boarding kennels?

Yes, cats and dogs must be fully vaccinated (with their annual boosters up to date) before visiting our facility. We will ask to see your pets vaccination cards, and boarding can be denied if you cannot produce this evidence. This is a legal requirement. Dog's must also be covered for Kennel Cough.

Dog Specific

Will my dog get walked?

Yes, all dogs boarding with us get daily walks around our beautiful surrounding countryside. Where we take them and the intensity of the walk is down to the individual. Difficult dogs will be walked around enclosed fields, while more laid back dogs will get woodland walks. Older or arthritic dogs will get leisurely walks while energetic dogs will get brisk walks, sometimes with a jog and a run to burn off that excess energy!

What is Kennel Cough?

"Kennel Cough" is very contagious disease of the respiratory system that effects dogs of all ages. It is usually caught in places where numerous dogs congregate - such as Kennels. This is why we ask that your dog is fully vaccinated against the infection before visiting. Affected dogs typically develop a very harsh, dry, hacking cough, which can often last several weeks and while not a serious illness can be very uncomfortable for the dog and very worrying for the owner!

Do you do dog grooming?

While we do not actually offer full grooming services, we do offer Shampoo and Blowdry and nail-clipping services. We find a lot of people like to pick up their dogs clean and fresh! We will include a free Shampoo and Blowdry in every stay over three weeks.

Medical

What happens if my pet has a medical emergency?

The first thing we will do is try and contact you/named guardian using the emergency details you provided us with. However, if we cannot get in contact with anyone we will immediately take the animal to a vetinarian to be seen. All costs incurred will be repayable by you.

Do you have any medical assistance on site?

We have a 24hr nurse on site.

Can you administer medication?

Yes and we would be happy to do so at no extra cost. Please make sure that you provide us with all the medications your pet requires for at least their entire stay, along with comprehensive instructions. It is advisable to provide a little extra medication, in case of unforeseen circumstances.
